ASCE Releases Guidelines for Engineering Grades In September 2007, ASCE released an updated version of its brochure Guidelines for Engineering Grades: A Helpful Tool for Human Resource Professionals, Engineering Managers, and Engineers The brochure is intended to help engineers and their employers properly recognize an engineer's level of professional development and responsibility. This first update in 10 years presents a matrix of the knowledge, skills, and responsibilities typically associated with engineers at a particular grade. The New Hampshire Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers has completed a review and evaluation of the condition of many infrastructure categories in the state, including aviation, bridges, dams, drinking water, energy, hazardous waste, mass transit and rail, navigable waters, roads, schools, solid waste and wastewater.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) extends its condolences to the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Wilma, and pledges its support to help restore the well-being of the affected states.
